Lions fall to Rebels

H.W. Byers passed for more than 100 yards Friday night but couldn’t slow down Thrasher.

The Lions lost 44-12 at home in District 1-1A action.

Douglas Hill was 12 of 27 through the air for 139 yards and two interceptions.

“We wanted to throw the ball, and we did OK there,” coach Chris Daniels said. “But we got down early, and that’s another reason we had to throw. I didn’t have any idea we would be throwing it that much.”

Lequavius Jenkins was the top target as he caught three for 51 yards.

Also catching three passes each were R’monta Laney, Jenkins and Malik Glover.
