Byhalia looks at best use of parklands

Alderman William Rose said he would like to see the ordinance for yard sale signs enforced in the Town of Byhalia.

Only one sign is allowed within the city limits advertising the sale. That is the sign issued by the town with the permit for the sale, and it should be placed in the yard where the sale is taking place. No other signs advertising the sale are allowed within the city limits. He asked that all departments help patrol and enforce the ordinance.

Present at the meeting of the aldermen and mayor on October 3 were aldermen Delainer Richmond, Rose, Mike Hamblin, Joe Tunstall and mayor Phil Malone. Police chief Gary Looney, fire chief Leland Reed, attorney Adam Emerson, public works director Doug Royal, town clerk Teresa Strickland and assistant town clerk Helen Rayford were also present. Hamblin led in prayer.
