H.W. Byers had some players back from injuries Friday night, and the difference was obvious.
The Lions used a strong second half to pull away from Coldwater and celebrate a 44-14 homecoming win.
“We were glad to have some bodies back,” said coach Chris Daniels. “Twenty players instead of 13 helps a lot. If we have bodies, we’re a pretty good football team.”
Julian Moore was the workhorse. He carried 28 times for 170 yards and five touchdowns.
“It’s a simple philosophy – if they can’t stop it, don’t go away from it,” he said about the team’s success with Moore carrying the football.
