Congratulations, Sydney Briscoe, on being voted homecoming queen and Miss Marshall Academy

Caitlyn Brooks and Trace Bray, of Cleveland, were the weekend guests of Kay and Laura Wheeler. Lexi Crawford and beautiful son Crawford, of Oxford came up Saturday to visit with everyone.

Paxton Clark, of Fulton, was the weekend guest of his Glammy Grace Bonds, and Uncle Dunn.

Friday night, the Patriots sent the Chiefs from Magnolia Heights packing with a shut-out game, 35-0. Once the Patriots gained momentum, they did not let up the entire four quarters. Kudos to juniors Drayton Potts and Everette Jones, who both had a pick six. This week, they travel down to Carroll Academy to face the Rebels in conference play.

Congratulations to Sydney Briscoe who was voted Marshall Academy’s homecoming queen, as well as Miss Marshall Academy. Senior Tyler Bolden was voted Mr. Marshall Academy. Junior Mr. and Miss Marshall Academy are Slater Knox and Kaylee Patterson.

Congratulations to the Lady Patriots softball team as they clinched the AA North state title. They battled out of the loser’s bracket to take the trophy! They will play the best two out of three games against Tri-County Academy beginning Wednesday this week with the first game at home. The next game(s) will be played at Tri-County. The first pitch will be thrown at 3 p.m. Good luck at chasing that state title!
