Barrett Donahoe wanted a good start Friday night. He got it.
His Marshall Academy football team used a pooch kick to snatch the early momentum and intercepted five passes in a 35-6 rout of Kirk Academy at Grenada. It was the Patriots’ third straight win.
“We played hard from the very beginning,” the head coach said. “We executed well early and did a lot of good things in the game.”
The first of those good things came to begin the game. Jason McDoniel’s pooch kick was recovered by teammate Tanner Taylor, giving MA the ball at the Kirk 37.
