Dewey F. Lawrence

Dewey F. Lawrence, 57, of Holly Springs, died July 10, 2017, at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch. He was cafeteria worker and a bus driver for DeSoto County Schools.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on July 16 at Finley Grove MB Church, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. James Green officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves a daughter, Shontesia Beard of Rochester, New York; four sons, Dewey Beard, Tavaris Beard, both of Holly Springs, Cordaro Beard, Nathanel Beard of Rochester; his mother, Mary Holloway Lawrence of Holly Springs; two sisters, Stella Cornelious of Holly Springs, Sharon Stephenson of Olive Branch; five brothers, John Lawrence of Horn Lake, Russell Lawrence, Matthew Lawrence, Albert Lawrence, Antonio Lawrence, all of Holly Springs; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Lawrence and a sister, Betty Jo Lawrence Pegues.
