Football practice starts soon

Chris Daniels, like most of his counterparts, will be in Jackson this week for the annual coaching clinic.

“It’s the last part of my vacation,” said the head football coach at H.W. Byers High School.

It’s also a “dead week” for the athletes while the coaching clinic is going on.

“That gives the kids a little break, too, before we get started,” Daniels said.
