Loys Malone

Loys Malone, 87, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Holly Springs, died April 21, 2017 at Baptist East Hospital in Germantown, Tenn. He was a member of Mt. Moriah East Baptist Church. He joined the U.S. Army and was retired from the Kroger Company.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on April 29 at Serenity-Autry Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Willie Hoey and Rev. Melvin Smith officiated. Burial was held at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.

He leaves a son, Alvertis “Chuck” Ingram (Johnnie) of Holly Springs; a daughter Mary Lois James of Detroit, Mich.; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; nine step-children; and a special friend and caregiver, Earnestine Moore of Memphis.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam, Hudson and L.C. Malone; and a granddaughter.
