Sylvester Marion

Sylvester Marion, 83, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 14, 2017, at his home. He was a member of Springhill MB Church in Waterford and a church deacon. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a retired mechanic after 44 years at Woods Tire Company.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 20 at Chulahoma MB Church with burial in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. James Adams officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Rosia Nabors Marion; a son, Antoine Marion of Allen, Texas; a stepbrother, Benjamin Marion of Holly Springs; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, William Frank Marion, Rev. George L. Marion, Isiah Marion, and Henry Louis Marion.
