James Byrd

James Byrd, 83, of Lamar, died Jan. 24, 2017, in Lamar. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a contractor.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Jan. 28 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel with burial in John K. Skelton Cemetery in Lamar.
He leaves his wife, Bonnie Byrd; a son, Mickey Byrd (Lisa); two daughters, Pamela Fletcher, Jonne Collins, all of Lamar; three brothers, Thomas Byrd of Lamar, Larry Byrd of Iuka, Charles Byrd of Lamar; 12 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Kendell Byrd and two great-grandchildren, Angel Baker and Megan Fletcher.
