Forestry Association 176 members strong
The Marshall County Foresty Association recently completed its 22nd year. The organization is 176 members strong, according to Vic Stilwell, outgoing president of the association.
Forestry has long been one of the top agricultural businesses in Mississippi. Membership is open to the public at $12 a year.
There are four quarterly meetings a year and members enjoy a meal together after each meeting.
Catch-A-Dream is one of the programs the association has sponsored for 13 years, missing only year 2004. This year the association raised $22,000 for Catch-A-Dream and the total contributions to Catch-A-Dream up to 2015 is $167,000.
