Dear Editor,

I would like to extend a huge thank you to Officer Nunnally with the Holly Springs Police Department.

Sunday night, I drove in and the sweetest puppy was in the driveway. She had a long, thick chain on her, which had actually been attached by a coat hanger in the ground.

I had never seen her in the neighborhood, so I called the police department. They dispatched Officer Nunnally. She was so nice about the call and made emergency provisions for this beautiful pup for the night until Animal Control got there in the morning.

Starting the new year off right by applauding the ones who rarely get a thank you — Officer, you are appreciated greatly and thank you very much; also, to your supervisor who allowed the overnight.
