People from all around come together for prayer at Taylor’s Chapel

The Prayer Warriors at Taylor’s Chapel have been meeting for 13 years on Tuesdays. The group consists of ministers and retirees, men and women, who not only believe in the power of prayer, they live by it.

During prayer time, there is reading of the Scripture, and time for personal testimony about how God answered a specific prayer or brought a person out of a dark and difficult time. Many speak of hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit who guides them through daily life, good times and not so good.

Prayer Warriors was begun by one person who heard the voice of God speak to her about forming a Tuesday prayer group at Taylor’s Chapel United Methodist Church on French Road. Initially, the group was named Prayer Partners, and sister Seggretta Wilson was the person the Holy Spirit spoke to 13 years ago.
