Man arrested after stabbing incident

A Byhalia area resident has been charged in the stabbing of his fiancée, according to sheriff Kenny Dickerson.

He said a call Saturday, Dec. 10, to 31 Rebecca Drive came in around 5:43 p.m. from the victim, saying she had been stabbed.

Deputies responded and found David Wesley Gray, 22, of the same address, at the house with the victim. She had been stabbed several times, the sheriff said.

Dickerson said the victim was transported to the hospital, and after being released, she came to the sheriff’s department for an interview.

Gray was charged with one count domestic violence aggravated assault. He remained in jail Tuesday with bond set at $25,000, the sheriff said.
