Byhalia teams earn wins over 6A Southaven

The last time these two schools met, Class 4A Byhalia had dropped a pair of games to 6A Southaven.

So, on Tuesday night of last week, the Lady Indians and Indians had something to prove and that’s exactly what they did. Byhalia teams came out on top, taking a pair of wins from the DeSoto County school.

The Lady Indians maintained a narrow lead most of the way and escaped with a 53-51 final decision.

The Southaven boys held a third quarter lead but couldn’t hold on to it. The Indians bounced back in the fourth to finish a hard-fought battle on top, 68-66.
