Belles and Books Christmas luncheon held at Kate Freeman

Newlyweds Dustin and Nathalie Bagwell, twins Emma and Grace, and Michael Bagwell all spent Thanksgiving in the home of Midge and Mike Bagwell.  They shopped and attended the Egg Bowl.

It is that time of year when you see people out and about more often. Saturday was one of those days, at the Belles and Books Christmas luncheon at the Kate Freeman Clark Art Gallery. Both seatings were completely full with locals and tourists alike.

The absolute best part of the day was seeing “Hot Dot”(Dorothy Warren), “Dar” (Doris Cochran), Frances Buchanan and Carole Robison sitting at a table. It has been a long time since I have seen that group of beautiful ladies. They are always dressed to the nines and wearing smiles.

I treasure living in a small town and knowing such amazing souls. There is no age barrier here and kindness trumps all!

Hank Wheeler of Newnan, Ga., was in town over the weekend to watch his grandson, Grady Brooks, play basketball. He also visited with Mary Clay and Gene Brooks and his youngest daughter, Laura Wheeler.
