Chynita Hudson-Jones

Chynita (Nita) Mershell Hudson-Jones, 46, died Nov. 15, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was a 1989 graduate of Ashland High School and  a 1995 graduate of Rust College.

Services were held Nov. 20 at Sand Hill MB Church in Lamar, where she was a member and served on the usher board. Rev. Darrell Mays officiated. Serenity-Autry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her daughter, Courtnee Latrice Hudson; her mother, Bertha Ann Holcomb; four sisters, Cortennia Scruggs (Clarence), Crissy Hampton, April Hearn (Cedric), Tiffany Booker (Derrick) all of Lamar; two brothers Tim N. Hampton and Borris H. Hampton (Montrese); and, her stepmother, Eleanor Hampton, all of Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tim L. Hampton and a brother, Kenneth L. Holcomb.
