Dorothy Byrd Smith Dickey

Dorothy Byrd Smith Dickey, 88, died Nov. 12, 2016, at The Blake in Oxford. Formerly of Potts Camp, she was a member of Potts Camp United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker and a former controller at Kellogg in Memphis, Tenn.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 16 at Waller Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Don Newton officiated.

She leaves her husband of 70 years, George A. Dickey Jr.;  four children, Sandra Darnell (Larry), Pat Dickey (Jan), Joe Dickey (Melissa), Tom Dickey (Karen); a brother, Louis G. Smith (Doris); eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Smith Johnson, and a brother, Joseph B.W. Smith.
