TVA talks energy savings

David Sparks and Bill Dukes, with the Tennessee Valley Authority, recently participated in a town hall meeting in Holly Springs. The topic was understanding and saving on electric bills.

Also presenting at the meeting was Mayor Kelvin Buck, who reviewed a cost of living analysis report; Willie Mallory, customer liaison at the Holly Springs Utility Department; chief Kenny Holbrook, who talked about fire prevention; and Betty Yates, who talked about workforce training.

Dukes presented an overview of TVA’s mission and its relationship with Holly Springs since 1935.
