Lorene Pickens James

Lorene Pickens James, 88, of Holly Springs, died Oct. 29, 2016, at the Holly Springs Rehab Center. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Benton County and was a restaurant manager for Tops Barbecue Corp. for a number of years.

Services were held on Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. at the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Burial was in Blue Mountain Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Wilbanks officiated.

She leaves her children, Paulette Miller (Junior) of Blue Mountain, June Tucker (Burney) of Byhalia. Debra James of Horn Lake, Kenneth James of Ocala, Fla.; two brothers, Tom Pickens (Wilma) of Manchester, Tenn. and Calvin Pickens (Julia) of Memphis, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky James; three sisters, Ruby Buckner, Ann McGinty, Lucy Corbett; and two brothers, Dean and Bob Pickens.
