Margaret Hart celebrates 80th birthday

“Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be forever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.” Isaiah 51:6.

Johnny Floyd (PCHS Class of 1968) was in town several days last week and visited several former classmates and friends while in the area. He has lived a very interesting and adventurous life. Retired from the U.S. Navy, Johnny spends his time hiking and rafting, and next year plans to do some cross country biking. He and his wife now reside in Newport, Washington, and he says it is so beautiful there. Some of his adventures include hiking the Appalachian Trail and rafting, along with his wife, down the Colorado River. He has hiked the Pacific Crest Trail and the Continental Divide Trail which is the Triple Crown of hiking. His goal is to hike 10,000 trail miles. To date he is 235 miles short of that goal. The photo shows Johnny standing atop Grey’s Peak in Colorado on August 27 of this year.
