| A Holly Springs man was hit and killed Monday morning while walking on the edge of the railroad track, according to coroner James Richard Anderson. |
| Robert Hunt, 61, died when he was struck by the westbound train, Anderson said. It happened between Salem Avenue and Govan Avenue in Holly Springs, he said. |
| The call came in around 5:35 a.m. December 18. Anderson pronounced Hunt dead on the scene at about 5:53 a.m. |
| Cause of death was blunt force trauma, he said. |
