The theme for National Library Week, April 8-14, is “Libraries Lead.”
The week was established in 1958 by the American Library Association to take place each April, according to Robert Patterson with the Marshall County Library in Holly Springs.
The week celebrates the contributions libraries make, librarians and support of libraries, he said. All libraries participate.
Patterson said libraries are still important to people, even though we have the Internet.
