Unofficial election results

• Runoffs in District 1 and District 3 supervisors

The field for District 1 and District 3 supervisor elections was narrowed by the November 4 election as no contenders were able to garner a 50 percent plus one vote.

The runoff election is set for December 2.

The unofficial election results Tuesday in District 3 put Jerry Kelly Jr. with 12.2 percent (112 votes), Terry Rodgers at 41.3 percent (380 votes), Mark Turner at 24.3 percent (223 votes) and Ray E. Woods at 22.0 percent (202) votes.

In the District 1 unofficial election results, Fountain took 33.2 percent (279 votes), Glover garnered 45.1 percent (379 votes) and Michael Perkins received 21.5 percent (181 votes).

All candidates ran as independents.

Rodgers was appointed to supervisor of District 3 following the resignation of Keith Taylor. Glover was appointed as supervisor of District 1, when the seat was vacated by Supervisor Charles Terry after his election as mayor of the City of Holly Springs in June 2025.

The ballot for the run-off election will be published in next week’s issue (Week 47) of The South Reporter after the November 4 election results have been certified.
