Two arrested in bank robbery case

A 17-year-old and a 33-year-old were arrested Tuesday, Sept. 26, in connection with the September 15 robbery of First State Bank in Holly Springs.
Police chief Dwight Harris said tips from the public led officers to the 200 block of West Elder Avenue where a search of the residence turned up the juvenile who was being sought in the robbery.
He was sent to the Juvenile Detention Center in Corinth, according to Harris, and Kianna Schlender, 33, of the West Elder Avenue address was taken into custody.
Harris said Schlender first denied the juvenile was in the residence but allowed officers to search the house. The juvenile was found in a back bedroom, the chief said.
