Three die in week of vehicle accidents

Three people died in vehicle accidents last week, the first taking place Tuesday, Dec. 5, according to Marshall County Coroner James Richard Anderson.

A single vehicle accident called in to 911 at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, took place at I-22 east bound at mile marker 20, he said.

The driver of a Toyota Camry veered off the highway in the eastbound lane and collided into a wooded area, Anderson said.

Timothy Earl Reed, 47, of Hickory Flat was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Wednesday, Dec. 6 at about 8:25 a.m. A call came in to 911 to an accident at the intersection of Highway 309 North and Highway 302 in the westbound lane. A car and F250 pickup collided killing one person, Anderson said.

The passenger in the car, Adarian Fashae Parson, 30, of the Memphis, Tenn. Area, was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the car was transported to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, Anderson said.

The third fatal accident took place at the same scene Thursday, Dec. 7 at about 6:10 a.m., Anderson said. A Toyota SUV and Chevy Pickup collided at the intersection of Highway 309 North and Highway 302 in the westbound lane, he said.

Barbara E. Gaines, 81, of Olive Branch was killed on the scene. The driver of the Chevy pickup was transported to Methodist Olive Branch for treatment.
