The Marshall County Board of Supervisors elected Charles Terry president and Ronnie Joe Bennett vice president during its first meeting of the new year January 2.
The board also reappointed all department heads at their current salaries.
Terry kicked the meeting off by asking board members to speak up when they vote on a motion.
“When I first got here, it was hard for me to get a word in edgewise,” he said. “We should give everybody an equal opportunity to speak.”
