Smoke Alarm saves family

October is Fire Prevention Month, and a time when firefighters are installing free smoke detectors in homes, according to chief Kenny Holbrook with the Holly Springs Fire Department.
He said a smoke detector helped a family of six escape a fire that destroyed their home October 9.
