The 12th annual North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic was held Friday and Saturday, June 23-24. The festival features artists with close ties to North Mississippi Hill Country blues. Top photo, Kudzu Kings entertains the crowd. Above, enjoying some fun with their hula hoops are (from left) Alyssa Brisentine, Kayleigh Smith and Samantha Garrison. With the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy arriving in the area, the festival was moved from outdoors at Waterford to an indoors facility just across the line in neighboring Tate County.
