Sheriff says heat is on for escapee

A man facing three murder charges has escaped from the Marshall County Jail and remained on the run as of press-time Tuesday, according to sheriff Kenny Dickerson.

He said Antoine Adams, 27, charged with two homicides in Memphis, Tenn., and one in Marshall County, escaped through a low window around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 5. Adams, who was being held in connection with a December 2016 murder in Slayden, was picked up by U.S. Marshals in Houston, Texas, in late July 2017.

“The heat is on for this guy,”  said Dickerson, adding that the U.S. Marshals Service is looking for Adams in both Mississippi and Memphis, Tenn.
