ROXUL rebrands to ROCKWOOL

Local residents might have noticed a change to some of the facility signs recently.

Stone wool manufacturer ROXUL Inc. has officially rebranded to ROCKWOOL in North America, creating greater unity with its global parent company. The change will allow ROCKWOOL to better leverage its collective strengths to better serve its customers, while driving further growth and investment in capacity, workforce and infrastructure.

ROCKWOOL’s advanced, high performance stone wool solutions have been quietly making buildings and people safer and more comfortable for over 30 years in North America and more than 80 years internationally. Steady growth supported the opening of its Byhalia manufacturing facility on Cayce Road in September 2014.

“As ROCKWOOL, we’ll be better positioned to do more for people and the planet by addressing the challenges affecting modern society,” said Trent Ogilvie, president, ROCKWOOL (North America). “Demand for stone wool has been steadily increasing and will play a greater role in providing effective solutions to critical issues such as increasing levels of urbanization, climate change, sustainability, water scarcity, flooding, energy consumption and noise pollution. We plan to make a positive impact, not only in the communities where we operate, but overall, creating safer, more resilient cities.”
