Police seek missing person

The Holly Springs Police Department is seeking the whereabouts of Demarcus Wells, 37, of the Holly Springs area.

Wells has been missing since Jan. 15 after he was released from Alliance Hospital where he was treated for a head injury, according to police chief Grant Glover.

He said Wells was assaulted Jan. 13, and was complaining of a headache when he went to Alliance Hospital where he was treated and released. He was last seen when he went to visit friends in the Greenbriar area to borrow some money,” Glover said.

A Jan. 16 call to dispatch from the 200 block of South Chesterman Street from his sister indicated Wells was missing, the chief said

Wells did not show up for work the next day and has vanished, Glover said.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and red and white Nike tennis shoes.

Glover said Wells required daily medication to prevent seizures.

Wells was last seen Jan. 15 around 3:30 p.m. in the Greenbriar Circle area, the chief said.

Anyone with information regarding Wells’ whereabouts is asked to call the Holly Springs Police Department, Criminal Investigation Division, at 662-252-2122 or 662-252- 1992. Ask to speak with an investigator, chief Glover or assistant chief Darryl Bowens.
