Police make arrests
Holly Springs police officers made an arrest for grand larceny and burglary of an auto and another for credit card fraud, according to chief Dwight Harris.
Scottie Clifton Bailey, 50, of the 8000 block of Highway 41 South, Pontotoc, was arrested November 28 and charged with grand larceny and burglary of an automobile, Harris said.
Bailey is a suspect in the stealing of a pickup from the Holly Springs Utility Department that was parked at Cousin’s Shell on Highway 7 South, Harris said. Bailey was apprehended minutes later in Olive Branch, Harris said.
In another incident, William Kemp, 42, of the 400 block of Woodland Heights, Holly Springs, was arrested November 22 and charged with credit card fraud, Harris said.
Bond for Kemp was set at $30,000.
