Oktoberfest OK’d

Saturday, October 6, is the date set for this year’s Oktoberfest in Holly Springs.
It is a German-style festival celebrated in Europe since the 1800s, said John Faulkner, aide to the mayor, who recently introduced the topic to the board of aldermen. It is a time for music, food, and family fun.
This celebration was selected after plans were scrapped for a September 1 Labor Day celebration downtown.
