North East Electric celebrates 80 years
Staff and members of the board of directors of North East Mississippi Electric Power Association visited the Waterford community recently to celebrate the rural cooperative’s 80th year of service.
Ray Gallagher helped organize the event. He is a 25-year member of the board.
He praised the staff and employees for their work to keep the power on for nearly 1,000 North East members living in the communities of Potts Camp, Bethlehem, Waterford and other outlying areas in Marshall County.
Gallagher said all the credit for the great service provided in the communities goes to the staff and employees of North East.
