An automatic sprinkler system is installed on the courthouse lawn. The system is used to water the lawn in the nighttime hours and can be set with a timer.
It was paid for out of unbudgeted fees taken in by the chancery clerk’s office and cost under $11,000. Marshall County Chancery Clerk Chuck Thomas, pictured with the jets on in the background, said the new irrigation system makes it easier to irrigate because employees do not have to drag around long water hoses which can also be dangerous to visitors who could trip on the hoses. Barrett Ash Landscapes, of Potts Camp, installed the sprinkler system.
