Mayor proposes projects

Mayor Kelvin Buck recently proposed a list of eight projects the city could consider in this new term.
He said the list is a vision for moving the City of Holly Springs to the next level. He provided the list to the board of aldermen and discussed each item, some of which have been discussed before.
Aquatic center
Buck wants to bring swimming back to the city. An aquatic center would provide indoor swimming year-round. He noted that Walnut, with a population of only 850, has a swimming pool.
The city’s pool on West Valley Avenue was demolished several years ago due to expense to keep it safe for operations and cost of insurance.
