Marshals arrest murder suspect

The U.S. Marshals Service’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (Oxford Division) Wednesday, July 26, arrested a man wanted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department for a December 2016 murder in Slayden.

Antoine Adams, 27, was also charged earlier this year with a separate homicide in Memphis, Tenn., according to authorities.

The GCRFTF has been actively pursuing the whereabouts of Adams and developed information he was in the Houston, Texas, area last week.

July 26, after a joint investigation from multiple jurisdictions, Adams was taken into custody without incident by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force (GCVOTF) in Houston.  Adams provided an alias and possessed a fraudulent Tennessee identification card. He will remain in custody in Harris County, Texas, until extradition proceedings have been satisfied.
