Man sought for attempted murder
Holly Springs police are looking for suspects in a shooting in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Drive May 30, according to police chief Grant Glover.
He said a victim was shot in the upper thigh during an argument over money.
The victim was taken by private vehicle to Alliance Hospital and then transported to the Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn., treated and later discharged, Glover said.
Several suspects are being sought in the incident, the chief said.
Grand larcenies A 2013 Dodge Challenger was missing in the 100 block of West Park Avenue, May 28, Glover said. The owner notices his car missing when he looked out around 3:30 a.m. The car door was left locked.
Several days passed when the Challenger was recovered in Tennessee.
Cedric Jerome Penson, 22, of the New Albany area, was arrested and charged with grand larceny, Glover said. His bond was set at $50,000.
In another incident a 2016 black Ford Fusion was reported missing missing from Heritage Trails Apartments at 10 a.m., Monday, May 30.
Glover said the resident arrived at the apartment at 2 a.m. and noticed the Ford missing later. No suspect has been identified, the chief said.

Drive-offs
Several service stations that sell gas are advised to not turn on gas pumps before receiving payment.
“We’ve had four or five reports Friday June 3,” Glover said.
