Man faces assault and firearm charges

On December 25, 2017, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Holly Springs police officers responded to a disturbance call in the 100 block of Luton Cove.
Upon arrival the victim told officers she had been assaulted by her boyfriend James Jones II, chief Dwight Harris said. Due to the victim’s injuries, Jones was arrested and charged with domestic violence simple assault, Harris said.
