Main Street recognizes lighting contest winners

The Holly Springs Main Street Chamber has announced 10 lighting contest winners.

The categories are Best House, Best Yard, Best Door and Best Commercial.

First place winner in Best House lighting is Perry and Beth Breithaupt on North Walthall, a long-time favorite. Second place is Carole Jean Taylor on Chulahoma Avenue, also a past winner, and third place is Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Holt (Hamilton Place) at the end of S. Memphis Street.

First  place in Best Yard is Alma Bowen of Slayden Street. Second place Best Yard goes to Mrs. John Ward on Salem Avenue. Third place Best Yard is awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holbrook on Coop­wood Drive.

Best Door winner is Byers Law Firm on Van Dorn on the downtown square.

In the Commercial category, Buford’s Furniture Company on North Market Street is the first-place winner.

Court Square Inn Bed and Breakfast on East College Avenue on the downtown square takes second place. Third place goes to Willow Bend Animal Clinic on Highway 4 East.
