MAC centers offer wide array of free information

Amanda Sheffield, with the Mississippi Access to Care Network in Pontotoc, visited with the Marshall County Board of Supervisors recently to describe the free services MAC centers provide.

Although the program acts as a resource center for those 60 and older or disabled, it also serves a number of other clientele. The service is free to the client, she said.

For example, the centers will help a person get a place to live and assist in transportation and access to health care, she said.

MAC is essentially a call center, Sheffield said.
