Kicking off Farmers Market

Yvonne Holland, with Holland Farms, was one of several vendors at the first Saturday opening of the Holly Springs Farmers Market on the square. The first day she brought broccoli, greens, cabbage, radishes, snow peas, onions, garlic, mints, rosemary, lettuce and brown eggs and sold out of everything. She plans to be back this Saturday with additional products added to the cart, like goat soap lotion, goat milk dog treats and other goat milk products. The Farmers Market is open 8 a.m. until noon on Saturdays and is scheduled to run through September 30.
