The annual Lessye Lee Davis Parade was held Saturday, May 6, in downtown Holly Springs. (Left photo) Zy’Keldrick Hamer plays the drums as the Holly Springs band marches during the event. (Right photo) Shanekque Griffin and Sage enjoy the parade from the sidelines. The parade is in honor of “Mama Lessye,” who was the 4-H and Homemakers Club advisor in Marshall County for many years. The day is set aside to pay tribute and keep her legacy alive.
