Holly Springs hosts Garden Club fall meeting

The Northcentral District of the Garden Clubs of Mississippi met in historic downtown Holly Springs, recently, for a luncheon and presentations.

The meeting, held at The Apothecary, drew 22 clubs from the Northcentral District for the fall district meeting. Ninety nine club members were in attendance, including the Byhalia and Holly Springs clubs.

The following awards were presented:

• Aberdeen Garden Club: Non-Competitive Award: Merit awards for Civic Development/Improvement, Historic Preservation, Floral Design, Memorial Gardens

• Byhalia Garden Club: Merit Awards for: Arbor Day, Historic Preservation, Young Gardeners, Memorial Garden

• Columbus Garden Club: Merit Awards for: Historic Preservation, Community Service, Horticulture, Landscape Design

• Dogwood Hills Garden Club (New Albany): Honor Roll Club; Non-Competitive Award, Certificate of Appreciation, Merit Awards for: Pollinator Garden, Memorial Gardens, Arbor Day, Backyard Habitat

• Edelweiss Garden Club (Fulton): Non-Competitive Award

• Galaxy Garden Club: Non-Competitive Award: Plant-It Pink, Garden Therapy, Historic Preservation

• Little Garden Club Corinth): Non-Competitive Award; Honor Roll Club; Merit Awards for: Backyard Habitat, Civic Development, Horticulture, Roadside Beautification

• New Albany Garden Club: Honor Roll Club, NonCompetitive Award; Tombigbee Valley Club of the Year

• Oxford Garden Club: Honor Roll Club, Non-Competitive Award, Tombigbee Valley 2nd Place Club

• Starkville Town & Country Garden Club: Honor Roll Club, Merit Awards for Arbor Day, Pollinator Garden, Young Gardeners, Roadside beautification

• Tupelo Garden Club: Honor Roll Club, Horticulture Award

• Town & Country Garden Club of Holly Springs, Pocket Gardens award.
