Historical museum honors Gray

The board of directors for the Marshall County Historical Museum presented a resolution to Merideth Gray for her service as interim director.

The resolution reads:

“We, the members of the board of directors, Marshall County Museum Society, on behalf of the Marshall County Historical Museum, in recognition of Merideth Powers Gray’s outstanding services to the museum, the society, the citizens of Marshall County and Holly Springs, in her capacity as curator for the museum - now retired - acknowledge and commend her highly successful work as curator, in her work with author Carolyn J. Brown, assisting in her research at the museum for the acclaimed publication, “The Artist’s Sketch, a Biography of Painter Kate Freeman Clark,” her work organizing the 2016 Christmas Tour of Homes and fund-raising campaign, in recognition of her untiring personal effort, effective leadership, coordination and support, along with her inveterate, outstanding museum staff members, Jennifer Bone and Martha Fitch, volunteers and others, hereby recognize and commend Merideth for a job well done.”
