Heavy hail

The Ashland area was hit by a hailstorm Monday afternoon. This picture was taken outside the Farese Law Firm offices downtown as the hail accumulated on the ground. Lisa Shaw, who took the photo, said the hail started as dime-size and gradually got bigger, reaching golf-ball size. Automobiles were dented and windshields shattered by the hail.
