Hale reports on needs, successes of schools

The Marshall County School District is still struggling with buildings needing repair, according to superintendent Lela Hale.

Some of the infrastructure problems or improvements include:

• a floor sinking at Potts Camp High School.

• shifting at Byhalia High School, a problem that cropped up soon after the building was constructed. A geotechnical engineer and structural engineer the district consulted have advised that the problem is due to moisture. They recommend replacing the entire roof of the school.
