Bank of Holly Springs

Gallery reopens

The Kate Freeman Clark Art Gallery has reopened following a grand celebration Saturday, Oct. 13. It included 125 guests or more, wonderful dining, eloquent speeches, recognition of community contributions and a guest artist exhibit.

The gallery has been closed for several months while new construction took place. This included the addition of two large rooms on the back, installation of a new kitchen, ADA-accessible bathrooms and ramps, a large back patio, and a climate-controlled room for the storage of the artist’s body of work – some 1,200 pieces.

The City of Holly Springs was the recipient of nearly all the paintings created by Clark during her career in New York City under the esteemed American impressionist William Merritt Chase.
