The United Methodist Women are planning a Fall Fashion Show to raise money to fight malaria, a preventable disease which causes a million deaths a year.
The conference of the United Methodist Church has chosen the project to supply mosquito netting to families where the disease is endemic to help prevent the transmission of the malaria plasmodium via the mosquito vector.
All the money raised by the Holly Springs group will go to the project of the year for the United Methodist Church.
The Fall Fashion Show is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23. There will be two seatings. The morning show will be a coffee at 10 a.m. and the afternoon show will be a tea at 2 p.m.
